Jesse - the last stone pic is great - w/ sarge in the background. His face is in more pain than yours - now that is a training partner!

Shawn, Sarge is intense bro. That's why I train with him.

Geoff, nice one! Where MVM? I don't see him.

how and why do yall load with shirts on? I cant do a stone unless my chest and belly are stuck to it.

I used to do the stones with a shirt on. But just a couple of weeks ago i tried it without a shirt on, I found it to be a ton easier. I will definately do it shirtless from now on.

135lb. 18 year old Corey Russell impressed me on the stones the first time I saw him.
He placed all of the stones the first time he touched them at our Central Ohio High School Challenge Jan 30th. Here is a video clip of him a few weeks after the contest, the second time he has ever touched them.

This week he went from 155#@54", 175#@48", 185#@44", 210#@40", and 245#@36", with very little trouble @ 135# bodyweight. Not to shabby.

Where MVM? I don't see him.

He was beside Amanda-who was taking the picture :D This was spring 2001 when Magnus came to Canada to train with me and teach me how to do things - rest of the pics are on my site under training.

I don't have a picture, but I do have a video of the first time I ever picked up my 270lb stone:

http://www.castledarkmoor.com/strongman/270stoneoops.WMV

As you can see, I have some problem with the "negative" portion of the lift :)

haha, thats awesome clay! At least you didn't have a big audience. A few months ago after a brutal leg workout, I was walking down the stairs in the gym and I fell down 2/3rds of the 15-20 step stairs. my legs actually collapsed, and I wasn't holding onto the railings. Well, at the bottom, there were 15 people in the weight room, half of them attractive college girls! What a time, I was looking up from the ground at people with a "what a geek" look on thier face. When I look back now, that was funny!
