It's nice to see young guys breakin' rocks with the basics, training like men.

I'll bet the girls call 'em ugly, but they're probably the strongest kids in school, and the one's who'll get the scholarships.

I'll bet the girls call 'em ugly,

Not when they see that letterman jacket.

Wow. Just wow. The dive bomb on the eccentric, the stupid-silly strength to just bull it out of the hole with out even a semblance of an arched upper back. That's just unreal ... I wonder if we'll be hearing from that kid in a few years. Too bad the strength sports dont pay, or else we DEFINITELY would.

In memory of Dale -
That squat was too high,
He might be wearing a suit underneath his clothes,
He didn't injure himself ... So it's not impressive.

EDIT to add: just so everyone understands, Dale didnt die. I'm doing this in memory of him cuz he got banned. Just remember, 3 white lights means you squatted too deep, 2 is just right, 1 is not deep enough and 3 reds means either you missed the lift or Dale, Beers and Porter were your judges :p

Totally agree with Kevin. I think there is a good chance he'll pop up.

I believe it. There were 2 guys at my high school who were incredible squatters. One guy a year ahead of me did 700 (710? I forget exactly). Another was doing reps with 600 (again, I forget the exact figure - may have been 595, may have been 605) when someone gave him crap about not going low enough. He went down to parallel or just below (this was 16 years ago and my memory is just a bit fuzzy), stopped, asked "Is this low enough?" waited for a response, then stood up with it. Freakin amazing. The first guy's brother was a walk-on at FSU and benched 5-something. (That I did not see in person. The other two lifts I did.)

In other words, those lifts were good, and more than I could do certainly then and probably now, but not unheard of.
