Get the Mueller sleeves from Jackals Gym. They are cheap and they work well.

I've heard the neoprene ones get torn up prety quickly. The leather ones at atomicathlete are supposed to be good, but expensive. I just use medical tape every time i do em

Medical tape or duct tape are the best way to go. Just make sure you shave your arms before hand so that you are not tearing all the hair off when you remove the tape...

Thats Hot LOL But seriously can someone tell me the point of wearing em except that it hurts less cuz your flesh doesn't get torn off and bruise etc etc?? It is strongman after all...it's gonna hurt regardless sometimes :EP: What would be the other advantages & disadvantages?? Thanks :)

you can usually find stone sleeves at wal-mart. There on aisle 4 between the midol and the teste-drop cream ;) Just kidding, the tape seems to work very well for my training partner tom mutaffis.

Yea, a few guys I train with have been having some good success with using atheltic tape.
Seems to not slide around, and is relatively inexpensive.

seriously.....if you do stones enough..like once a month you kinda stop getting bruises....I don't really get banged up forearms anymore...but I've ....in the past for heavier stones...(350 n up) used athletic tape...makes the pick a lil' less painful..
and KIMBURR....don't be a fag (not that there's anything wrong with that..just ask Beers and She Dan )....

I train raw and very rarely get stone burn anymore. At contests I use athletic tape (I don't want to get cooties from the guy before me bleeding all over them).

Well, I did shirtless stones today and I got some really nice chaffing on the inner part of my pecs and on my upper abs. Would that still fall into the category of something that chicks would dig on??? :D

You Have abs! I mean I know you have them but you can see them? You actually can tell the difference between upper and lower? Really?

Oh and Paul to answer your question - I "dig" it when I know a guy has worked hard and pushed himself mentally and physically. So when I see evidence of that it is a positive thing.. :IMHO: ... I must say that I prefer bruising to "chaffing".

No hard feelings Paul... I know you must be feeling a little uncomfortable with all the chaffing and such....

I use knee wraps on my forearms, has been working good so far. But the heaviest stone I have is 200, so I don't how they work on heavier stones.
