By the way, I hear that was a lucky punch. Fedor makes a habit of throwing punches, hoping that one will connect.

I'm calling an arm bar in 1st round, possibly a RNC. I'd love to see him knock Rogers out thou.
BJJ is awesome! The cardio is amazing! I have been training the last few months every sunday for my cardio while doing strongman.

Although I'm not as into MMA as I used to be, I have seen every professional fight of fedor's and a number of combat sambo matches as well. As was already noted, Rogers does have a puncher's chance (as anyone stepping into the cage will have).

Still, until fedor actually loses a fight (his 1 loss coming by a TKO-cut in the opening seconds of a match) I will never bet/predict against him, he's just too good. In 2005, he and Mirko CroCop were the top two ranked heavyweights in MMA, they fought in August of 2005 (Pride; a much better CroCop at that time then the current form we have seen in the UFC over the last two years). CroCop was able to hang to with Fedor; however, Fedor clearly won the decision.

I guess my point is that if CroCop in 2005, who was arguably the best stand-up striker in MMA at that point, could not even push Fedor to the limit, I highly doubt Brett Rogers is going to accomplish that feat.

I don't see this going past round 1. Fedor by sub or KO.

Yes John you're a 100% correct. I don't see this either going past round 1. What about shields and miller? Any prediction?

It'll be a repeat of Fedor vs Sylvia, but with an armbar instead of a choke.

Well I was wrong about the fight ending in the first round

To be honest, Rogers did much better than I thought. When he cut fedor with the early jab, I was a little worried that the fight was going to end TKO-cut. Then when he was able to tee-off while in Fedor's guard I realized that Rogers does have some talent.

However, we see that Rogers was no match for the big right-hand that fedor threw Once again, just when you think Fedor may be in trouble he comes back with a quick finish to the fight!
