Default August Southern Slam Competition, Rock Hill, SC

Guys I'm putting on a comp in August in Rock Hill, SC with the help of Tom Kaufman that will be part of the Southern Slam and I want it to be a different kind of comp and a real by strongman, for strongman comp. So I want to put some non-traditional events for example crucifix hold, frame carry, earth stone, etc. I want your suggestions on what events you would like to take a shot at and ones that are more non-traditional events and apparatuses.

Something like this might be fun...
  • Fat dumbbell clean and press for reps (heavy).
  • Heavy tire flip or tire medley.
  • 2-3 part medley (yoke/frame/sandbag/etc.).
  • Box squat for reps (heavy - use chains/tires to make it look cool).
  • Natural stones.

I'll definitely take some of these into consideration. Are you coming to SCB this weekend?

Odd object load to wheel barrow and deadlift/frame carry
Load 3 or how many, heavy objects to a wheel barrow and deadlift it for as many reps possible, or have it mobile and make them move it like 10 ft or something.

Flip Medley

Tire/Fingal Finger/Car/Cow...ok maybe not the cow....

Show girl in harness press
Have 2 hot show girls who weigh the same in an old school lifting harness and press for reps

2 hand any how lift
Have like a blob and a circus dumbbell/kettle bell

Keg Toss medley (over bar) - that would be another fun one.
