Well here's a baker's dozen of ideas:
1. Flaming Swords
2. Flaming Axes
3. Severed Heads
4. Swords sans flames
5. Axes sans flames
6. Kettlebells
7. Hammers
8. Dumbbells
9. Toddlers
10. Buckets
11. Bag of Potatoes
12. Cheese Wheels
13. Bunch of Bananas

Obviously 1-3 are probably too awesome for little children to handle and 4 and 5 might be a bit dangerous. If you do go the hammer route, maybe add weight to the implements for each class rather than everyone using 12lbs hammers, like this:

lol, see i knew i could count on you for some great ideas......yea ideas 1-5 might be a little tough to do, esp since this will be an event benefiting children, idea 9 would work, except the toddlers would be moving all around, tough to hold, so i'd say we are going to go with the sledge hammers as planned and some added weights for the heavier classes, thanks for the ideas though, much appreciated

Hotel Info:

I set up a deal with the Best Western across the street:

http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwest...oCategory=HOME

that link should take you directly to the hotel info, call and ask for the corporate rate for teambix, will be $69 a night plus tax, and that should include a breakfast buffet

just a reminder, there will be a $5 charge for spectators to enter OR what would be even better is bring an extra toy to cover the entrance fee, kids 12 and under are free
