After cutting wood for a couple hours and moving stumps in my wheel barrow I felt like hitting a couple squats, it's been 12 days so I just did a few one after the other. I usually like to do a couple maxes on my Birthday and Fri I turn 56, we'll see, it depends on my work schedule.

13 Apr Thur
Bn 18" grip Bar x10, 95x5, 135x1, 155x1, 175x1, 195x1, 215x1, 235x1, 255x1, 275x1, 295x1

Wide pulldowns 240x5, 270x3, 300x3, 305x3, 310x3

Shrugs 5, 5, 5, 10/neck x20

Press 18" grip Bar x3, 55x3, 65x3, 75x3, 85x3, 95x3, 105x0

The way warmups felt I planned to finally go 315 but after 295 I decided not today, 295 was strong but it just felt my whole left shoulder was saying no. Good news is I didn't agitate it and with proper rest I have more in the tank. The pulldowns were strict as usual and I found a couple rubber weights to add. I dig the Hammer Strength Shrug machine, I can get a real high stretch and I prefer the neutral hand position, I added a little chalk and hit 590 for 10 pretty strong. I haven't maxed axle deads in quite sometime, I'm thinking I should be able to hit at least 500, if It's not raining tomorrow maybe that and HighBars will be order of the day.

21 Apr Fri sets x reps
Buffalo Squats 165x3x3, 275x3x3, 375x5 singles.

Axle stiff legs 264x3x3, 308x3x3, 352x3x3

Axle Deads 396, 440, 462

I knew I was still congested and didn't have much gas so I settled on 5 fast singles working form, after last Fri I wanted to get back on axle so I started with stiff legs. Just a reminder, all reps are paused, I know it's quite fashionable to touch and go, and lifters much stronger then me do it, and although they are great for conditioning it's not going to help if you're in a SM or Pl'ing contest and you can barely get the first one off the floor. Think of it like using straps, great training tool, just don't live in them.

Hey Doug, A Swiss Barbell has Mutli neutral hand postions similar to a log press. I think it is pretty effective. Works great for barbell rows too!

Got it, thanks John. I have seen those, I guess I just didn't know the name.
